We were upgraded to a nice suite. The room and it's appointments were very well done. Tanya, our server at breakfast was excellent.
The staff at the font desk were difficult twice during our stay. During our check in, they kept answering incoming calls and helping the caller. She also interrupted to assist a group of other guests while we waited.

The friendliness of the staff and the beautiful location and building.
If I wanted ice I had to go to the bar and there was no refrigerator in the room. Otherwise, no problems.

I loved the canopy bed and fireplace in the room.
The wireless internet didn't work, except in the lobby area. I had to spend quite a bit of time in the lobby in order to get my online work completed.

Carter House Inns exudes charm with its Victorian décor and cozy common areas. The staff were helpful, assisting with my luggage and providing recommendations for nearby attractions. The complimentary breakfast was a good touch, offering homemade pastries and a variety of coffee and tea options.
More accessibility features would enhance the experience.

The breakfasts were complimentary and enjoyable with pastries and french toast, as example. The room was well-appointed and included central heating, television and tea/coffee making equipment. The location of the hotel was ideal - a 10-15 minute walking distance from Old Town Eureka.

Staying at Carter House Inns was amazing! The room had a cozy and comfortable vibe. Clean linens and a lovely sitting area added to the charm. The complimentary breakfast was much better than I expected-freshly made eggs and an array of options to choose from. They didn't provide a menu unless I specifically asked for it, a bit annoying. The location is perfect, with easy access to the beautiful Victorian homes nearby. I enjoyed the restaurant on-site, which served delicious food. But unfortunately, they had some maintenance issues . My room had a draining problem with the sink that didn't get resolved before my check-out. Customer service was polite, but I reminded me of my concerns didn't get the attention they deserved. The atmosphere was cute, but I hoped for a bit more attention to room upkeep.
